Be Part of the Natl Day on Writing Event in the Library 10-20-10

Attention All Readers and Writers,

On Wednesday (20 October 2010) our nation celebrates the National Day on Writing. This day commemorates and celebrates the power of prose—all prose. Everything from a profound e-mail sent to you by a friend, to the last paragraph of Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Fiction, non-fiction, journalism, comic books, graphic novels—if it’s thoughtful and made an impact on you, come READ!

Here’s where you come in! If you have a short reading (under 2 pages of text) that you would like to share at McIntyre’s Collaborative Learning Center and the University Writing Center’s Breezeway Reading Series on the National Day of Writing, please email Blake Westerlund (westerbr@uwec.edu), Interim Coordinator of the UWC with your name and your chosen text. For more info on the National Day on Writing see http://www.ncte.org/dayonwriting/about.

Come read! Come listen! Come enjoy the profound impact of writing!
