Intern Making a Difference in Special Collections & Archives

McIntyre Library is hosting a student intern this summer who is making a big difference in Special Collections & Archives on the library's 5th floor. Junior Aaron Schroeder is completing a cataloging internship which aims to update information about the maps held in Special Collections so that future researchers can better access the wealth of materials held at UW-Eau Claire.

This coming fall Special Collections will be hosting a student intern which will focus on digital curation.  This internship will require the intern to create a webpage that includes a narrative description of a set of maps around a common theme(s).  The webpage will host the digitized images of the maps so that the narrative and images can be utilized side-by-side.

For more information about these internships, please view the Geography & Anthropology Chair Blog or contact Greg in Special Collections (kockeng@uwec.edu, 715-836-3873).
