Celebrate Wisconsin stories during Archives Month! McIntyre Library and the Department of History invite you to a public lecture entitled Discovering Forgotten Stories: Northwestern Wisconsin's First African American Community, Friday, October 19, at 5:15 p.m., in Haas Fine Arts Center, Phillips Recital Hall.
Presenter Timothy L. Ericson is a career archivist and educator who recently retired from his position as Director of Archival Studies, School of Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has authored many articles, including "Building Our Own 'Iron Curtain': The Emergence of Secrecy in American Government," American Archivist, Sprint/Summer 2005, for which he won the Society of American Archivists Ernst Posner Award.
