Annual giving project to support Rice Pantry raises $1295.65!

The McIntyre Library Staff Association giving project to support the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association (HMAA) rice pantry raised $1295.65. This is a whopping 46% increase over last year and our second highest total ever! Every penny goes toward buying rice, and this contribution will buy more than 9000 pounds of rice,  making a difference in the lives of our Eau Claire area neighbors.

Thanks to all who participated, by donating, fielding questions, and spreading the word. We were fortunate this year to have the assistance of UW-Eau Claire Foundation in establishing the online donation option and managing the contributions, and Andrew Vue, representing some of the Hmong student groups, who helped get the word out.
