New Campus Book & Film Discussion Group

McIntyre Library and the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library are proud to announce a new book and film discussion group - UW meets EC.  The first 10 UW-Eau Claire Students registered for the event will receive a free copy of the book "Divergent." The book and film group will be reading Veronica Roth's "Divergent" and watching the 2014 film starring Shailene Woodley. The book discussion will take place on Wednesday, January 14th at 7 pm in McIntyre Library's 2nd Floor Breezeway.  One week later on January 21st at 7 pm, attendees will have the opportunity to watch and discuss the film at L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library's Eau Claire Room.

McIntyre Library will be open a reduced number of hours during Thanksgiving Week.

  • Monday (11/24): 7 am - 1 am
  • Tuesday (11/25): 7 am - 1 am
  • Wednesday (11/26) 7 am - 7 pm
  • Thursday (11/27): CLOSED
  • Friday (11/28): 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Saturday (11/29): CLOSED
  • Sunday (11/30): 11 am - 1 am

International Game Day Event in McIntyre Library: Nov. 15, 1-5 pm

McIntyre Library is hosting International Game Day on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 1-5 pm on the library's first floor.  International Game Day is an annual celebration of games, play, libraries and learning that any anyone can join, and costs absolutely nothing to register for. This is literally a world-wide event, with libraries on ALL SEVEN continents participating last year. Yes, that does include Antarctica!

McIntyre Library plans to have a variety of video, board, and card games to play at International Game Day.  This includes a Nintendo Wii with a variety of games, and over 100 board and card games to choose from.  Whether you're a Mario Kart or Smash Bros. fan, enjoy the strategy of Carcassonne, or are a master at Settlers of Catan, International Game Day at McIntyre Library has something for everyone.
